Medical Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our medical team as a Medical Lab Technician with a nursing background. This unique dual-role position requires a professional who is not only proficient in performing a wide range of laboratory tests but also possesses the clinical knowledge and patient-care skills of a registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Duties: Perform routine and complex medical laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood banking. This involves specimen collection, processing, and analysis, as well as maintaining and calibrating lab equipment to ensure accurate results.

Patient Care: Utilize nursing skills to interact with patients, explain procedures, and address any concerns. This includes providing pre- and post-test instructions, monitoring patient vital signs, and assisting with phlebotomy in a manner that ensures patient comfort and safety.

Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to interpret lab results and provide valuable clinical insights. The ability to connect lab findings with patient symptoms and history is crucial for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Quality and Safety: Adhere to all laboratory and hospital policies and procedures, including quality control, infection control, and safety protocols. Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
