Medical Coder Trainer

Job Title: Medical Coding Trainer

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Medical Coding Trainer to train students in medical coding concepts, coding guidelines, and industry standards. The trainer will be responsible for delivering effective training, preparing study materials, and guiding students toward certification and job readiness.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct classroom or online training sessions on Medical Coding

* Train students on ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems

* Explain medical terminology, Anatomy & Physiology relevant to coding

* Teach coding guidelines, modifiers, and compliance standards

* Provide hands-on practice with real-time case studies and scenarios

* Prepare and update training materials, presentations, and assignments

* Conduct mock tests, assessments, and evaluations

* Mentor students for AAPC certification (CPC)

* Track student progress and provide performance feedback

* Coordinate with academic and placement teams

Required Qualifications & Experience

* Graduate or Postgraduate in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical or Allied Health Sciences

* CPC Certification is mandatory

* 0–1 year of experience in Medical Coding / Training

* Strong knowledge of Human Anatomy & Physiology

* Good understanding of US healthcare and medical coding standards

Required Skills

* Excellent teaching and communication skills

* Ability to simplify complex medical coding concepts

* Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and compliance

* Familiarity with EHR/EMR concepts (added advantage)

* Proficiency in MS Office and online training tools

* ₹15,000 – ₹18,000 per month (based on experience)
