Job Description

HCC Medical Coding Professionals

Role & responsibilities

Review and code medical records accurately based on CMS Risk Adjustment guidelines.
Audit and monitor coding quality and compliance across the team.
Guide, mentor, and train medical coders to ensure high accuracy and productivity.
Conduct refresher and onboarding training sessions for new coders.
Stay updated on CMS-HCC/Rx-HCC model changes, ICD-10 updates, and payer guidelines.
Ensure coding compliance with HIPAA and AAPC/CDC standards.
Collaborate with quality and operations teams to meet client SLAs.
Provide performance feedback and process improvement inputs.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

Minimum
1 to 4 years
of experience in
HCC Medical Coding
.
Prior experience as
Team Lead, SME, or Trainer
preferred.

Certifications:
CPC / CRC / COC / CCS (Preferred, not mandatory).
Knowledge:

Excellent understanding of
ICD-10-CM
,
CMS-HCC
, and
Rx-HCC
models.
Strong grasp of
Risk Adjustment
,
RAF scoring
, and
coding compliance
.

Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality output.
