Job Description

A dental specialist specialty (handling 2021 guidelines)
Certification is mandatory
Good knowledge of medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles
Assign appropriate codes to each procedure using Current Dental Terminology (CDT), CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II
Document treatments and ensure codes meet federal regulations and insurance standards
Submit relevant information to the patient or insurer for payment
Follow up on unpaid dental claims to ensure the practice receives the correct reimbursement
Respond to dental records requests and invoice the requestor
Work as part of a team and support billers and AR analysts
