Media Relations Coordinator

As a Media Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a targeted media contacts list encompassing print, broadcast, and digital outlets. Your role will involve drafting and distributing press releases, media advisories, and pitch emails to enhance media visibility. You will actively pitch story ideas and secure placements in relevant publications and programs to maximize coverage. In this position, you will coordinate interviews, press briefings, and media events for spokespeople, ensuring smooth execution and representation. Additionally, you will prepare background materials, talking points, and press kits to support media outreach efforts effectively. Monitoring and tracking media coverage will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, including compiling regular clip reports and sharing insights with the team. Handling incoming media inquiries and providing accurate, timely responses will be crucial in maintaining positive relationships with the media. Collaboration with Marketing, Communications, and Product teams will be essential to align key messaging strategies across departments. You will analyze coverage metrics such as reach, sentiment, and share of voice to evaluate the effectiveness of public relations initiatives. Furthermore, you will be tasked with maintaining and updating the media relations database to ensure contact information accuracy. This role will require your presence in person to carry out the responsibilities effectively.
