Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize automated measurement systems from conceptualization to implementation - Engage in detailed mechanical design of manual and automated measurement and calibration systems, including component and material selection, 3D/2D CAD, mechanism design, and FEA - Collaborate with vendors to enhance measurement systems and improve manufacturing and metrology capabilities and processes - Manage vendor prototyping schedules and manufacturing plans - Provide support for new product failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product manufacturability and performance - Assist in new vendor development to expand Apple's vendor base in terms of capability, capacity, and geographical influence Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace/Mechatronics) or equivalent experience - Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling systems and workflow - Ability to apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) principles and drafting standards - Good understanding of stress-strain relationships, static mechanics (determinate and indeterminate systems), kinematics, and mechanism design - Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to support equipment design, deployment, and validation Additional Company Details: The role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that designs consumer electronics impacting millions of lives worldwide.
