Job Description

Purpose of the job is to build foundation to mechanical maintenance at site, lead mechanical maintenance operation acting as key contact towards customer in technical issues. Site is greenfield site and needs guidance and support to achieve safe and smooth operation. Work will include task typical to green field site where team members need to be trained and coached and maintenance processes need to be developed. As a senior member you will drive development and creation plant maintenance structures.

As work will be in isolated location, we expect the candidate to have previous experience of similar type of work. And to be able to work with team in customer site together with customer crews.

Following requirements to manage the role

Building foundation and lead site mechanical maintenance work of gold processing plant.
Manage and develop site maintenance strategy. Make annual maintenance plan/strategy to develop services continuously. Lead the plan execution at site. Build plant mechanical instructions, make sure they are effectively conducted.
Build a foundation to quality maintenance services at site. Work as a leader of maintenance teams. Lead and motivate personnel to achieve sustained high levels of performance and ensure all maintenance personnel are appropriately trained.
Develop and build reporting structures and KPI s. Creating comprehensive reporting structures internally/ externally.
Evaluate site performance compared to benchmarks, find out development areas. Recognize and act in relation to prevent breakdowns, loss in productivity, recovery%, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Provide the expertise and technical support in development and improvement the reliability of systems in the plant including the data gathering, failure analysis, troubleshooting and development of predictive/preventive maintenance programs for equipment together with site team.
Evaluate failure root causes and specifies method of repair for plant equipment. Support site in achieving minimal process plant downtime due to equipment failures. Support in removing bottlenecks in production. Analyze plant and equipment performance with site teams and coordinate communication to Metso business lines to ensure implementation of corrective actions.
Organize cross technical meetings with BL and site to review site performance/ challenges/ action plans. Target is to bring ideas to optimize plant designs for cost effectiveness, reliability, operability, maintainability and safety.
Take responsibility for safety standards follow up in maintenance in accordance to company policy. Ensure a safe work environment and compliance to all HSEQ regulations and standards during the work and ensure compliance with statutory and other regulations as are required by law
Manage and develop site level customer relationships for site to improve customer satisfaction
Manage Health Safety System for the site, according to OHSAS 18001. Manage Quality System for the site, according to ISO 9001. Manage Environmental System for the site, according to ISO 14001

Technical competence

Qualifications in Engineering. High knowledge of ore processing. At least ten >12 years relevant experience from phosphate, gold or copper metallurgical / mineral / processing plant or related industry.
Experience in managing maintenance crews in a mineral/ process plant, and previous commissioning experience.
Ability to manage, motivate and control complex situations, changes and crises appropriately. Good communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills, e nglish skills, both spoken and written
