Job Description

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance - Level III role involves troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems using necessary tools to ensure equipment availability and capability. The role requires an understanding of safety protocols while working with industrial equipment and the ability to work independently while coaching others.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

  • Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Promote interdependence by looking out for team members.
  • Correct hazards within control and capabilities.
  • Minimize environmental impact through safe work practices.
  • Engage in HSE training.

Quality:

  • Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
  • Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
  • Perform work according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools and measuring instruments.
  • Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
  • Follow all process documentation and quality procedures.
  • Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
  • Perform quality inspections.

Delivery:

  • Perform troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Instruct and coach others, acting as an informal resource for team members.
  • Perform and document preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
  • Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints.
  • Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements.
  • Solve problems and improve processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Teamwork:

  • Complete training and personal development aligned with business requirements.
  • Actively participate in local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education.
  • Equivalent experience that meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Experience in continuous assembly lines for precision components manufacturing (Preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting precision equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical assembly, conveyor lines, servo systems, and testing equipment.
  • Experience in machine mechanical maintenance, robot, and cobot maintenance.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of PLC & HMI programming for troubleshooting (TIA Portal/Simatic Manager).
  • Basic knowledge of data traceability systems with RFID and CMES.
  • Ability to implement permanent solutions for recurring issues.
  • Ability to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of maintenance processes.
