Job Summary:

A mechanical installation engineer to oversees the implementation and setup of mechanical systems and equipment in industrial, commercial, and construction environments. The role involves interpreting design plans, supervising the physical installation, and ensuring systems are commissioned and tested to meet project specifications, safety standards, and performance requirements

The Mechanical Installation Engineer will be responsible for the successful execution of mechanical system installations from planning through commissioning. This includes supervising on-site activities, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, proven project management skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation oversight: Manage and oversee the installation of mechanical equipment and systems, such Industrial Bakery machineries and conveyor systems, according to engineering designs and blueprints.
• Site management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of installation teams, contractors, and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Quality assurance: Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure all work meets design specifications and is compliant with industry codes and regulations (e.g., ASME, NFPA).
• Technical support: Provide on-site technical expertise to resolve issues, diagnose faults, and troubleshoot problems that arise during the installation process.
• Project coordination: Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall project.
• Documentation and reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, as-built drawings, and inspection records.
• Health and safety: Enforce site-specific and company health and safety procedures, conducting risk assessments and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Commissioning and testing: Oversee and participate in the testing and commissioning of newly installed systems to verify proper functionality and performance.
• Vendor and supplier management: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment and to resolve any supply-related issues.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, for reviewing design drawings.
• Knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, components (e.g., motors, gear drives, pumps, valves etc), and systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
