Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Bachelor or Masters degree in mechanical engineering.

-3 to 5 years of experience within Mechanical Design and new Product Development.

-Strong proficiency in 3D-CAD modeling, ideally in NX environment.

-Knowledge of Team Center PLM system and SAP.

-Experience in HVDC projects

-Fluent in English (written and spoken), proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.

-Good collaboration and communication skills to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities:

-Perform mechanical design for converter valve components, including design calculations, preparation of design specifications, and technical documents.

-Prepare 3D CAD Models, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

-Participate in various product verification tests, from early prototype testing to final verification of converter valve design.

-Demonstrate a deep understanding of mechanical core competences, material selection, manufacturing methods, and a basic understanding of electrical technology.

-Work with product quality and quality investigations.

-Collaborate with various departments to support production and reduce disturbances.

-Provide technical support for installation and commissioning activities for HVDC projects.

-Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.

Additional Information:

-The primary requirement is a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in 3D-CAD modeling, NX software, and Team Center PLM.

-Remote work may be possible after the initial on-site period.

-Electro-mechanical knowledge is a bonus.

-Experience in auditing suppliers is a plus.

-Knowledge in advanced CAD software(s) is necessary for efficient 3D modeling, assembly design, and 2D drafting for drawings and layouts.

-Familiarity with electromechanical plant design, HVDC stations, and applicable standards is valuable."
