Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our Heavy Engineering Production team.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in a factory environment, particularly in heavy steel fabrication and welding operations. The role involves production planning and control, shop-floor supervision, material planning, manpower deployment, and coordination of fabrication, machining, and assembly activities.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to approved drawings, welding procedures, quality standards, and safety practices while meeting production schedules. Experience in handling large fabricated structures, managing subcontractors, and coordinating with quality and inspection teams will be an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  
• Experience in heavy steel fabrication in a factory or heavy engineering environment.
  
• Good working knowledge of various welding techniques such as SMAW, SAW, FCAW, and GMAW.
  
• Ability to read, interpret, and work as per engineering and fabrication drawings.
  
• Familiar with production planning, material control, and shop-floor execution.
  
• Exposure to quality systems, welding procedures, and safety practices is desirable.
