Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for working on projects and operations to implement standard valve specifications and datasheets, providing technical input on behalf of the Valve Global Product Team. Your role will involve supporting projects in completing call offs and ensuring the correct standardization activities are carried out for valves. Additionally, you will contribute to the improvement and development of the valve procurement strategy and associated technical and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical input and evaluation of valve packages and other piping materials to support Projects and Operations. - Review vendor documents. - Offer engineering support to Projects throughout the complete life cycle. - Assist in GIS interpretation for valve design and procurement. - Provide advice on detailed design to ensure alignment with Project requirements and standardization agenda. - Ensure rigorous engineering processes are followed. - Proactively identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement and Discipline Excellence. - Participate in key Engineering Design Reviews, Project HSSE Reviews, and HAZID/HAZOP reviews. - Take part in valve incident investigations. - Demonstrate compliance with HSSE expectations. - Actively engage in the Mechanical Network and Valve Community of Practice. - Support Front End Engineering (FEED) activities. - Supervise 3rd party activities and contractors on behalf of the team. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer or equivalent certification. - 8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industry or equivalent. - Total experience of 8-12 years. - Strong technical understanding of engineering, maintenance, and operation of valves, piping, and static mechanical equipment in oil & gas processing facilities. - Knowledge of valves design, selection, testing, and operation. - Familiarity with governing codes, industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, ASTM), and local regulations relevant to mechanical engineering. - Proven track record in applying engineering standards and practices for mechanical equipment. - Experience working with OEMs and vendors on valves and piping systems. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team. - Proficient in risk management in projects and operating facilities. - Track record of driving engineering improvements across teams and functions. - Experience in piping designs, piping stress analysis, flanged joint designs, integrity assessment, repairs, and industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO). - Familiarity with brownfield modifications, front end engineering, scoping, and technical evaluation.
