Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Maintenance

Perform routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment such as
pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, and agitators
.
Troubleshoot breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Maintain and update maintenance logs and equipment history.

Utility Management

Operate and maintain utility systems including:

Boilers
Cooling towers
Air compressors
Chillers
Water treatment plants (RO/Softener/DM)

Monitor performance and efficiency of utility equipment; ensure optimal usage and minimal energy loss.

Chemical Industry-Specific Compliance

Ensure mechanical equipment is compliant with safety and environmental regulations applicable to chemical manufacturing.
Participate in
safety audits, HAZOP studies
, and
preventive maintenance planning
.

Shutdown and Turnaround Support

Assist in planning and execution of
plant shutdowns and major maintenance overhauls
.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance jobs.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain daily/weekly maintenance reports and documentation.
Ensure all maintenance and utility systems are in accordance with SOPs and GMP (if applicable).
