Job Description

Role Objective:

Support mechanical solutioning, costing, and documentation of NIDO s automation systems including conveyors, lifts, structures, and material flow systems. Ensure standardized designs, BOMs, and ERP accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret customer requirements and convert them into conceptual 2D/3D layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Design mechanical solutions for automation systems including conveyors, sorters, lifts, racking, and workstations.
Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and cost estimates.
Standardize designs and create templates/modules for repeat projects.
Interact with China-based OEMs for component selection and specification alignment.
Coordinate with Purchase for vendor specs, lead times, and alternate sourcing.
Ensure all mechanical parts and assemblies are correctly updated in ERP (item codes, BOM, costing).
Support senior solutioning engineer in responding to RFPs and customer queries.

You Should Have:

2 4 years of mechanical design or pre-sales experience in automation or capital equipment.
Strong AutoCAD & SolidWorks skills.
Good understanding of conveyor systems, mechanical assemblies, and costing.
Exposure to ERP workflows (item/BOM entry).
Willingness to coordinate across internal teams and external vendors.
