Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Power)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 4 - 8 years

Burns & McDonnell is looking for a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our Power team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the design and engineering of mechanical systems for power generation facilities (coal, natural gas).

Key Responsibilities:

Design systems including P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and pump/valve selection.
Perform safety valve (PSV) sizing per API standards.
Develop equipment specifications and manage vendor drawings.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams and US-based project teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
4-8 years of experience in piping design, rotating equipment, and process systems.
Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1 and Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes.
Experience with power generation or related heavy industry projects is preferred.
