Mechanical Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer for Paper Machine #3 at our facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the maintenance and repair activities of the paper machines. With a B.Tech in Mechanical and a minimum of 6 years of proven experience in paper machine maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of machinery while minimizing downtime and enhancing overall productivity and safety within the manufacturing process. Your key responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and executing both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for paper machines and associated equipment. You will troubleshoot and promptly resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize production disruptions. Regular machinery inspections will be conducted under your supervision to identify potential problems and implement necessary corrective actions. It will be essential to coordinate with production teams to align maintenance activities with operational schedules, analyze equipment performance data for efficiency and reliability improvements, and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components" availability while optimizing costs. Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspection reports, and machine histories, will be part of your routine. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities. You will lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, offering technical guidance and training as needed, in addition to collaborating with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs, upgrades, and procurement. Additional skills and attributes that will be beneficial in this role include familiarity with Lean Maintenance or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, Rotary & Stationary equipment, and hydraulic systems, as well as experience with predictive maintenance techniques like vibration analysis and thermal imaging. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, proficiency in maintenance management systems and related software, strong communication, and team leadership abilities are essential. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to industrial equipment maintenance is also required.
