Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Management:

• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for hydrogen compressors and associated mechanical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.

• Technical Expertise:

• Specialized knowledge of hydrogen compressors, including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors used in chemical plants.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of compressors and related auxiliaries (piping, valves, seals, cooling systems, lubrication).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.

• Operations Support:

• Collaborate with production and process teams to optimize compressor performance and reduce operational disruptions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.

• Safety & Compliance:

• Implement and monitor safety protocols for handling hydrogen compressors and high-pressure systems.
• Ensure adherence to statutory and environmental regulations related to mechanical equipment maintenance.

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.
• Prepare reports and present findings on equipment status, maintenance needs, and improvement plans.

• Vendor & Inventory Management:

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for spare parts procurement and major repairs.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and tools for compressors.

Desired profile:

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in maintenance engineering within the chemical or petrochemical industry.

• Hands-on experience with hydrogen compressors is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, valves, and piping.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in chemical plants.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work at Jhagadia location.
