Job Profile

To carry out the responsibilities of maintaining the plant equipments/ project/civil works

To coordinate in various project activities in CMCD viz equipment data sheet review, design coordination with process engineering team,review P&IDs, technical bid comparison of various vendors, Follow up for ontime delivery of equipment, Ensuring erection and installation ontime, EHS norms adherence to complete project with zero LTI, Candidate preferably Pharma , Agro Chemical, Petro chemical Industries having through knowledge in batch processing industry.

Role & responsibilities

1. Responsible for maintaining the plant equipments availability for process requirement.

2. Preparation and implementation of effective department working standards & procedures and ensure the compliance with Organizations Quality systems requirements.

3. Responsible for leading, motivating and guiding the team of Supervisors.

4. Carryout multidisciplinary role, working closely with colleagues across a number of functions, including operations, purchasing, safety, civil works.

5. Review the mechanical engineering standards, mechanical component design in Technical specifications and data sheets.

6. Preparation of concept note on Mechanical related project tasks.

7. Compare the technical offers and assess the technical competency rating as T1, T2 .... and appraise line management.

8. Expedite ontime delivery of the mechanical equipments, pipings,structurals as per BOQ and timelines and analyse the reason for the delay with justification.

9. Adequate experience mechanical project execution, project schedule preparation and adhering to time line of project activities.

10. Adequate knowledge in selection of capacities, type of utility equipments in coordination with process engineering team.

11. Hands on experience in handling various batch processing equipments like glass lined reactors, dryers, filters,pumps, distillation columns, pipings etc.,.

12. Assessing mechanical maintenance requirements and introduce the changes in design stage itself to avoid reworks.

13. Ensuring the appropriate work permits, JSA are in place before commencing of erection and installation activities. Mechanical coordination in HAZOP, QRA, and risk assessment studies in similar projects.

14. Ensuring mechanical project related SOPs for rigging, scaffolding, welding, grinding etc are in place before the commencement of the project tasks.

15. Hands on experience in utlity operations like chillers, compressors, cooling towers etc.,

16. Adequate knowledge in statutory requirements related to mechanical like PESO norms, Material handling equipment certification etc....

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: B.E Mechanical Engineering with 4-8yrs

Diploma Mechanical Engineering with 8-15yrs

Experience in a pharma, petrochemicals, chemicals, process plant maintenance and utility operations.
