Mechanical Designer

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings and 3D models for mechanical systems and products using CAD software. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the design meets performance, cost, and manufacturing goals. Key Responsibilities: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software. Interpret design concepts and convert them into manufacturable parts and assemblies. Collaborate with engineers to develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies. Review and revise designs based on feedback, testing, or manufacturing constraints. Maintain accurate records of design revisions, version control, and documentation. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company specifications. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and product validation. Required Skills and Qualifications:Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.). Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic knowledge of materials, tolerances, and GD&T. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a mechanical design role. Knowledge of FEA tools and simulations. Experience in sheet metal, plastic, or fabrication design.
