Mechanical Design Trainee (Fresher)

Job Title: Mechanical Design Trainee (Fresher) Location: Atlas Transformers India Limited (Por) Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Trainee to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems, gaining hands-on experience with CAD software, prototyping, and industry standards. This role is ideal for recent graduates or students pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Create and modify 2D and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). Support senior engineers in prototyping, testing, and evaluating mechanical systems. Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas and improvements. Prepare detailed technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and documentation. Perform basic engineering calculations (stress, tolerance, thermal, etc.). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement. Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations. Assist in troubleshooting design and production issues. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Familiarity with mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent). Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Internship or project experience in mechanical design. Exposure to simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). Knowledge of PLM systems and technical documentation standards. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
