Mechanical Design Trainee (Fresher)

As a Mechanical Design Trainee at Atlas Transformers India Limited (Por), you will have the opportunity to assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems. Your role will involve working with CAD software, prototyping, and adhering to industry standards. This position is well-suited for recent graduates or students pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. - Create and modify 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA. - Support senior engineers in prototyping, testing, and evaluating mechanical systems. - Participate in design reviews, offering innovative ideas and suggestions for improvements. - Prepare detailed technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and necessary documentation. - Perform basic engineering calculations related to stress, tolerance, thermal considerations, etc. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement. - Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. - Assist in troubleshooting design and production issues. Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Familiarity with mechanical design principles and fundamental engineering concepts. - Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent. - Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship or project experience in mechanical design. - Exposure to simulation tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL. - Knowledge of PLM systems and technical documentation standards.
