Mechanical Design Manager-Pressure Vessels

As a Manager Design - Vessels at our client, a global leader in water technology and services, your primary responsibilities will include: - Studying and internalizing project requirements related to Pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, ladders, and platforms & equipments associated with ZLD such as Flash tank, Heat Exchangers, FFE, etc. - Providing inputs to the Lead Mechanical engineer on the schedule of designs. - Conducting calculations related to vessels & tanks, including specific vessel functionality (resin expansion, internals sizing, etc.) and vessel code calculations (ASME sect VIII Div.1 / 2 vessel strength calculations, nozzle calculations, etc.). - Performing analysis for wind, seismic & allowable nozzle loads on vessels and tanks. - Conducting a preliminary assessment of vessels for fatigue loading as per project specifications and coordinating with external agencies if detailed FEA is required. - Reviewing designers" outputs to ensure they meet project requirements and code specifications. - Ensuring OSHA requirements are met when designing platforms & ladders. - Reviewing material selection for compatibility with every requirement. - Participating in coordination & review meetings to capture project-specific requirements in designs, such as finalizing nozzle orientations on vessels in consultation with the piping group. - Resolving vendor queries regarding vessels, tanks & platforms by coordinating with Lead Mechanical Engineers. - Participating in customer meetings on areas related to vessels, tanks & platforms as necessary. - Creating requisitions & uploading materials in SAP systems. - Reviewing vendor quotes to ensure technical requirements are met for areas mentioned above. - Creating datasheets / specifications as required for the mentioned areas. - Team handling responsibilities. You will need a total experience of 15-20 years in relevant fields and a Masters or Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (M.E. / M.Tech. or B.E. / B.Tech).
