Mechanical Design Engineer

Job profile

As a Design engineer, you are responsible for providing engineering support to the Product Engineering team of a mining equipment company by designing sub-systems using CAD-models and drafting manufacturing drawings.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

• Involve yourself in the design and development of mechanical sub-systems.
• Creation of 3D models, drawings for manufacturing and Assembly using the ECR/ECN process
• Maintaining BoM for an Assembly using Teamcenter
• Ensure the highest quality of deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and communicate the progress and results of assigned projects.

Your profile

You have a university degree in Mechanical engineering with an overall experience of 5-8 years and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the heavy engineering domain.

You need to have relevant experience, as per the following:

• Good in Mechanical engineering fundamentals and Engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience working with Sheetmetal and Welded structures.
• Knowledge on the design of powertrains, Cooler packages, hydraulics, etc. is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in creating medium-to-complex Manufacturing and Assembly drawings applying GD&T.

Tools

• 2 years or 3500 hours of working experience on Siemens NX
• Basic knowledge of Teamcenter

  Crushers, Screens, Batching Plants, Stackers

• Agriculture:

  Tractors and Attachments for Tractors

• Locomotive:

  Wagons, Engines
