Role Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and complete machines using

  SolidWorks

  .
• Perform

  FEA and structural simulations

  to validate designs under real-life conditions.
• Execute

  mechanical design calculations

  (stress, torque, load, fatigue, motion, etc.).
• Select appropriate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components for performance and cost optimization.
• Create

  manufacturing-ready drawings

  , BOMs, and GD&T documentation.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Coordinate with

  vendors and suppliers

  for parts procurement, fabrication, and cost negotiation.
• Lead design iterations based on testing, validation, and feedback to improve performance and reliability.
• Take ownership of design timelines, quality, and deliverables.
• Manage junior engineers or interns and foster a fast-paced innovation culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in

  Mechanical / Mechatronics / Design Engineering

  .

• 25 years

  of experience in mechanical product or automation equipment design.
• Strong proficiency in

  SolidWorks

  (3D modeling, assemblies, and drafting).
• Experience in

  FEA

  , motion simulation, and mechanical system analysis.
• In-depth understanding of

  mechanical design principles

  , material selection, and tolerance analysis.
• Hands-on experience in

  component selection

  (motors, bearings, fasteners, pneumatics, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong ownership, time management, and ability to handle design-to-deployment independently.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in automation or packaging machinery design.
• Knowledge of sustainability or lightweight material applications.
• Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and vendor management.
• Innovative mindset with attention to detail and speed of execution.
