The MRB engineer evaluates areas of non-conformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing and Assembly process and as compared to the product definition requirements.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Ability to read and understand 2D Engineering Drawings.
- Perform engineering analysis of discrepant parts which includes Forgings / Castings / Precision machined aero-engine components and Assemblies, etc
- Responsible for investigation of all non-conformance reports and all responses using proven problem-solving methodology to complete the non-conformance design assessment and disposition
- Responsible for authorizing the sentencing via acceptance, rejection, rework of product via Quality Notification/Concessions
- Analyze variations to engineering drawing specifications which may affect part fit, form, and function. This analysis will include performing tolerance stack up analysis, stress analysis, metallurgical issues, NDT, and heat transfer analysis etc
- Document and determine if abnormalities are related to engineering issues. And proposed corrections will not negatively affect the functionality of systems.
- Develop, review & approve tolerance stack up calculations, the effect of non-conformance on mating components and investigate for adherence to Aviation Standards & process
- Coordinate across a large number of functional areas, including Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Tests, Structures and Systems Design groups, Safety, Materials, and Processes
