Our Turbomachinery & Process Solutions business provides industry-leading products and services that optimize extraction, production and processing of energy As a team with integrity, we create value with impactful decisions by effectively connecting ideas and people We champion entrepreneurial culture to unlock full potential by bringing energy to the world, Partner with the best As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems It includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components, As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements, Working for mechanical engineering for all products Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent, Working together with people from the business unit Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues, Communicating with direct team and supervisor Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research, Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, Have minimum 0 to 3 years of industrial experience in mechanical equipment design and application, Able to Understand thermodynamics, rotordynamic, materials of turbomachinery product Product knowledge on centrifugal compressor is added advantage, Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modelling along with GD&T, FEA, programming, Able to work in experienced people team giving an active contribution to the design and decision-making process, Have an open approach to problem solving and expanding the current theory to fill the gaps, Have experience and background in manufacturing / reliability / material science is a plus, Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc is a plus, Able to execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements, Can Document and communicate results of technical data generated, Able to Prepare and present technical data to internal customers, Able to participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives, Able to share engineering information and promote open dialogue, Able to Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business, Able to assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures, Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns: This role is a Full Time Regular, live in country Working with us Our people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes We know we are better when all of our people are developed, engaged and able to bring their whole authentic selves to work We invest in the health and well-being of our workforce, train and reward talent and develop leaders at all levels to bring out the best in each other, Working for you Our inventions have revolutionized energy for over a century But to keep going forward tomorrow, we know we have to push the boundaries today We prioritize rewarding those who embrace change with a package that reflects how much we value their input Join us, and you can expect: Contemporary work-life balance policies and wellbeing activities Comprehensive private medical care options Safety net of life insurance and disability programs Tailored financial programs Additional elected or voluntary benefits
