Mechanical Assembly Fitter

Job Summary

The Assembly Fitter is responsible for assembling mechanical components and products as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role ensures accurate fitting, smooth assembly operations, and compliance with safety and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts, components, and sub-assemblies as per technical drawings and work instructions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly manuals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments for accurate fitting and assembly.
• Perform alignment, fitting, tightening, and adjustment of components.
• Identify defects, mismatches, or assembly issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Ensure assembly work meets quality and safety standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Assist in testing assembled products, if required.
• Support production targets and meet daily output requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with assembly tools and measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical fitting, tolerances, and fastening techniques.
• Awareness of workplace safety practices.
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
