Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MDMS (Meter Data Management System) Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications related to
Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS)
.
Integrate
optical cablebased meter reading
solutions with mobile or handheld applications.
Parse and extract meter data from
XML/DLMS files
and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Design and implement data ingestion, validation, and storage workflows.
Work closely with field and IT teams for
automated meter reading (AMR/AMI)
data integration.
Troubleshoot data import/export issues related to XML, optical reading, or communication failures.
Optimize and maintain APIs or interfaces for data exchange between MDMS and other systems (e.g., billing, analytics).
Prepare documentation for processes, data structures, and APIs.

Required Skills:

Strong experience in
MDMS application development
(e.g. Custom MDMS platforms, or equivalent).
Knowledge of
DLMS/COSEM protocol
and
optical port communication
with meters.
Hands-on experience in
XML data extraction, parsing, and transformation
.
Proficiency in
.NET / Python
for backend processing.
Familiarity with
database management systems
(Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
Experience with
API integration (REST/SOAP)
and data pipelines.
Understanding of
metering data formats
, load profiles, and event logs.
Excellent analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with
smart meters / AMI systems
.
Exposure to
mobile or handheld meter reading applications
.
Knowledge of
utility domain standards
(electricity distribution).
