Job Title: VMC Programmer (Mastercam Specialist)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled VMC Programmer (Mastercam Specialist) with strong hands-on experience in Mastercam software and Fanuc-controlled Ace Micromatic VMC machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating optimized CNC programs, setting up machines, selecting cutting tools, and ensuring precision machining for both new product development and production requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming

• Develop 2D, 3D, and multi-axis tool paths using Mastercam.
• Optimize machining programs for efficiency, accuracy, and tool life.

Machine Operation

• Set up and operate Ace Micromatic VMC machines with Fanuc controls.
• Perform zero-setting, tool offset adjustments, and job inspections based on technical drawings.

Tool Selection & Setup

• Plan setups and select cutting tools for diverse materials and components.
• Define optimal machining parameters to enhance quality and productivity.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure high-precision machining and adherence to tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with the quality team to meet customer specifications and minimize rework.

Production Planning & Control

• Coordinate with the production team for job scheduling and timely delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and enhance machining efficiency.

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve machining or tooling issues on the shop floor.
• Recommend improvements in programming, tooling, or setup methods.

Requirements

• Software Skills: Mastercam (mandatory)
• Machine Knowledge: Ace Micromatic VMC with Fanuc Controller
• Experience: 3 to 8 years in VMC programming and operation
• Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds & speeds, and toolpath optimization
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in New Product Development is an added advantage
