Job Description

Clinical Care:

Provide comprehensive emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and management for all age groups.
Lead resuscitation and stabilization efforts for critically ill or injured patients.
Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, chest tube placement, and cardiac life support.
Oversee triage and ensure timely management according to the severity of conditions.
Ensure smooth coordination for patient transfers to appropriate specialties or higher centers when necessary.

Operational & Administrative:

Supervise the functioning of the Emergency Department ensuring 24x7 readiness.
Maintain compliance with NABH quality and safety standards including documentation, consent, and clinical audits.
Monitor and optimize patient flow, waiting time, and resource utilization.
Participate in departmental meetings, policy development, and implementation of emergency protocols.

Training & Development:

Train and mentor Duty Medical Officers, Residents, and Nursing staff in emergency care practices.
Conduct and participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs, mock drills, and simulation training sessions.
Encourage evidence-based practices and continuous learning culture in the department.

Quality & Compliance:

Adhere to hospital infection control, biomedical waste, and patient safety protocols.
Support NABH documentation, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure timely reporting of critical incidents and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
