Job Description

Role & responsibilities • Conduct routine rounds in all wards, including the ICU, emergency, general wards. • Evaluate patients waiting for further investigation or admission to other departments. • Ensure prompt referrals to specialists if required. • Oversee patient admissions from ED or direct admissions, ensuring proper documentation and initial orders are made. • Ensure discharge planning is done efficiently, with prescriptions, follow-up instructions, and patient education as needed. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all clinical encounters. • Review and update patient progress notes, and document any changes in the treatment protocol or condition. • Ensure legible and thorough documentation to avoid legal or medical discrepancies.
