Job Description

As a Market Data Sourcing Specialist at Morgan Stanley, you will play a crucial role in managing strategic data provider relationships, negotiating and executing data agreements, and advising global business units and Market Data Analysts. You will be part of the Corporate Services division, where collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services are created to enhance the employee and client experience. **Role Overview:** In this role, your primary responsibilities will include: - Managing relationships with data vendors as the primary sourcing contact within the firm. - Handling negotiations for contract renewals and new agreements, ensuring compliance with firm guidelines. - Collaborating with data providers, technology teams, and internal stakeholders to align data strategies and maximize value. - Developing deep knowledge of each vendor to provide strategic recommendations and enhance business relationships. - Managing product demonstrations, pilot projects, and opportunities for competitive displacement. - Working closely with Legal, Finance, and Business Management to address contractual, commercial, and compliance issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Possess financial services experience, focusing on managing supplier engagements and consumer relationships. - Strong negotiation skills for complex agreements, with expertise in data usage compliance and intellectual property rights. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and support market data strategies. - Proactive and adaptable team player with strong project management and organizational abilities. - Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, ideally with knowledge of Ariba and/or FITS-Market Data Inventory system. - Strong business-level English language skills in verbal and written communication.
