1-2 years of experience as Marine Electrician
Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices involved in the installation, maintenance, repair and alteration of marine electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
Skills in the detection, diagnoses, maintenance and repair of marine electrical system
Basic Communication skills in English
Computer literate
Perform routine works related to electrical installation, maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, distribution panels and lighting and alarm circuits.
Trouble shoot electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect required maintenance, repairs or replacement requirements.
Conduct insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects.
Inspect and diagnose marine electrical equipment by carrying out the Preventive Maintenance Program to ensure that the systems and components are running smoothly.
Follow all relevant section's or department's policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
