Ensure that all New Product Development (NPD) documentation is created and maintained in line with aerospace standards and specifications. Oversee the control and management of documentation, ensuring full compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NASA, FAA) and customer-specific requirements. Collaborate with the quality and production teams to ensure documentation is consistently updated and meets audit requirements. FMEA & PPAP Process Knowledge: Lead the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) process to identify and mitigate potential risks in new product designs and manufacturing processes. Ensure the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) is followed for all new products, including documentation, part submissions, and approval processes to meet customer requirements and industry standards. Process Planning & Mapping: Develop, document, and implement process plans for new and existing parts, ensuring that all processes are optimized for quality, cost, and efficiency. Map out workflows, ensuring that processes are well-defined and align with manufacturing capabilities, timelines, and quality standards. CNC Part Prove-Out & Configuration Management:

Oversee part prove-out activities on CNC machines to ensure that parts meet specified design and quality requirements.Manage configuration management, ensuring that all designs, part drawings, and manufacturing processes are updated and maintained consistently across all production stages.

2D, 3D Programming & Problem Solving: Utilize expertise in 2D and 3D programming to generate and optimize machining programs for CNC machines. Provide technical support for problem-solving during the production process, including troubleshooting machining issues, quality concerns, and design challenges. Ensure that engineering designs are fully executable and manufacturable while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Process Knowledge on Special Processes:

Oversee and ensure the correct application of special processes such as heat treatment, vacuum brazing, special coatings, and assembly processes to meet aerospace component specifications. Collaborate with quality and operations teams to ensure these processes are controlled, documented, and compliant with aerospace requirements. Machining Techniques, Inspection Methods, & Jigs/Fixturing: Provide technical leadership on advanced machining techniques, including CNC programming, tooling selection, and the application of jigs and fixturing. Ensure that inspection methods, including non-destructive testing (NDT), are properly employed to maintain product quality and reliability. Lead the development and validation of jigs and fixtures for accurate part positioning and repeatable processes. Tool Selection, Tool Life, & Cost Monitoring:

Oversee the selection of tools for machining operations, ensuring that the right tools are chosen based on material, complexity, and process requirements. Monitor tool life and cost to ensure the optimization of tool usage and replacement schedules, balancing cost-efficiency with quality requirements. Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to control tooling inventory and reduce tooling-related costs.

Production Part Prove-Out & Cycle Time Monitoring: Lead the production part prove-out process, ensuring parts meet quoted cycle times and quality standards before mass production. Manage the rejection level and First Time Right (FTR) concepts, working closely with production teams to minimize defects and rework. Continuously evaluate production processes and implement improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve part quality.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:
Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, quality, supply chain) to ensure smooth coordination and on-time delivery of aerospace components. Drive the implementation of best practices and support the continuous development of the teams technical skills.

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech) / a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)

Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in equipment maintenance, Extensive experience in the aerospace precision component manufacturing industry or a similar high-precision manufacturing environment.
