Job Description

Manufacturing Methods / Process Planning Engineer Nuclear Division

Job Purpose

To develop, standardize, and optimize manufacturing methods and process plans for nuclear-grade components, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while achieving cost, cycle time, and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

Process Planning & Manufacturing Methods

Prepare
process routings, operation sheets, method sheets, and work instructions
for CNC machining and fabrication activities.
Define
machining sequences, tooling, fixtures, gauges, and cutting parameters
for precision components.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications, and nuclear-specific requirements.
Develop
manufacturing feasibility inputs
during RFQ and new product introduction stages.

Coordinate with CNC programmers for program validation and prove-out activities.
Support first-off inspection, trial runs, and process stabilization.

Ensure process plans comply with
nuclear quality standards
, traceability, and documentation requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of
CNC machining processes and fabrication methods
Ability to read and interpret
engineering drawings and GD&T
Familiarity with
manufacturing documentation, method sheets, and routing creation
Understanding of
quality systems and controlled manufacturing environments
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP/MRP systems
Good communication and shop-floor coordination skills

Preferred Exposure

Experience in
high-precision, regulated industries
(Nuclear, Aerospace, Defence, Heavy Engineering)
Exposure to
ISO/AS quality systems
and controlled documentation practices
