Description
As a QA Engineer at our company, your role will be to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. You will be working closely with team members to understand acceptance criteria, write and maintain manual test scenarios and test cases, execute test scenarios, identify and document defects, and participate in various testing phases such as Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, and STLC phases. Additionally, you will be expected to have experience in Web Services and API Testing using tools like Postman, Rest-Assured, or SOAP UI. Your responsibilities as a QA Engineer Team Member include: - Working closely with team members to ensure understanding of acceptance criteria - Writing and maintaining manual test scenarios and test cases - Executing test scenarios - Identifying and documenting defects - Being self-organized, self-motivated, and requiring minimal supervision - Familiarity with agile development methodology and associated ceremonies - Knowledge of RDBMS databases like MS-SQL Server, Oracle with strong SQL knowledge - Being a fast learner and a team player - Participating in release verification - Testing planning, analyzing test data requirements, and test execution - Assuring quality procedures and standards related to the project - Ensuring defect follow-up and closure by coordinating with different teams involved in the project - Organizing meetings with various teams for quicker resolution and closure of defects as an active team member - Building verification and validation You should possess the following qualifications for this position: - CS degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in a QA Analyst or QA Engineer capacity - Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) - Experience with testing web and mobile applications - Experience working in an Agile methodology - Experience with test case management and defect tracking software - ISTQB Testing Certifications In addition, you should be able to work effectively in an Agile environment, plan, monitor, and execute test activities across multiple customers and stakeholders. You should also be able to promptly escalate concerns regarding project, product, or process quality in a collaborative manner and demonstrate initiative and leadership in improving quality plans for the technical environment.
