About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester with experience in the stock broking domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality and reliability of trading platforms, applications, and systems by conducting thorough testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. A strong understanding of financial markets, stock broking processes, and trading systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing of stock broking applications, including trading platforms, back-office systems, Front office systems and APIs.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Validate trading functionalities, such as order placement, portfolio management, market feeds, and settlement processes.
• Perform end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.
• Validate compliance with financial regulations and stock broking standards.
• Test user interfaces to ensure seamless user experiences across Web, Mobile and Exe platforms.
• Perform database validation to ensure the integrity of transaction and account data.
• Collaborate with product managers, and developers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Ensure testing environments are set up and configured correctly to simulate real-world scenarios.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of stock broking, financial markets, and trading workflows (e.g., equity, derivatives, mutual funds, IPOs).
• Testing Expertise: Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, defect reporting, and using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, and Slack).
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SEBI guidelines, compliance standards, and processes in the stock broking domain.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing and ability to analyze log files.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify edge cases, scenarios, and bugs that may impact end-users or business operations.
• Problem Solving: Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and identifying root causes of defects.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to stock broking systems like ODIN, NEST, or Algo trading platforms.
• Familiarity with APIs used in trading platforms and experience in testing them.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools (optional but advantageous).
• Experience in testing mobile trading apps and responsive web platforms.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
