Work Location: Hyderabad

We have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Software Test Engineer to join an Agile team. Primary responsibilities will include carrying out manual and automated tests to ensure the software meets requirements and team delivery a quality product. The tester will often assume the role of an end user to test the applications and features ensuring correct behavior.

The tester will need to analyze, report and document bugs and errors in development teams. A successful candidate must be exploratory, agile, a quick learner, self-motivated and require little supervision. Adaptability and a willingness to jump in to help outside of your normal role is a requirement. The position will also require excellent communication with developers and product managers/owner in the team. The candidate should be well-written, organized, and comfortable speaking with others and communicating with a team. A very high attention to detail is essential to be successful in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Design and create

  comprehensive test plan/approach

  , test designs, test cases, and test scripts for user stories and features. In addition, analyze nonfunctional and system requirements and create appropriate test to cover these requirements
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Perform

  functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing

  across web applications and APIs
• Identify, document, and track defects using the teams management system AzureDevOps
• Contribute to

  test automation frameworks

  , writing automated test scripts where applicable.
• Validate acceptance criteria and ensure user stories meet the teams

  Definition of Done

  .
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Agile Collaboration

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies:

  daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

  .
• Collaborate with the team members to refine requirements and provide valuable input to ensure testability.
• Provide

  early feedback

  to developers during refinement to prevent defects before development begins.

Quality

• Act as the

  quality advocate

  within the product team, promoting best testing practices.
• Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, automation, tooling, and documentation.
• Mentor other testers and support knowledge sharing within the QA community.
• Support release management activities, ensuring smooth deployments and validating production changes.

• Hands-on working knowledge and experience is

  required

  in:

1. Extensive experience working on Testing and Testing Methodologies. 
2. Strong experience with

   test case design

   , defect tracking, QA documentation, and exploratory testing.
3. Experience with Testing Tools and in writing Test Cases preferable In AzureDevOps
4. Agile Methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Less, TDD, BDD)
5. Hands on working experience with relational databases - preferable SQL Server
6. Experience working with distributed teams across regions and time zones.
7. Proficient with many types of software, browsers, and operating systems
8. Strong organizational skills
9. Display detailed, critical, quality-oriented, skeptical thinking about the product.
10. Experience and Demonstrate experience in reviewing Logs troubleshooting and identifying the problems
11. Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps processes and tooling, preferably in Azure DevOps and use of pipelines. 
12. ISTQB Foundation or similar certification.
13. Hands on working experience with Selenium,

    Playwright

    and/or other equivalent frameworks (Optional)
