Manager - Transmission Lines (Solapur)

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee and direct end-to-end execution of transmission line projects including scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, and contractor management.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and EHS protocols.
• Liaisioning with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local communities to obtain permits, approvals, and clearances.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations for transmission line construction and operation.
• Stay updated on current government guidelines for crop and land compensation and implement accordingly.
• Preparation of project L1, L2 and L3 schedule, review finance allocation, project management, regular review.
• Direct and monitor construction activities including tower foundation, erection, conductor stringing, insulator installation, and substation connectivity.
• Promote and enforce EHS protocols and best practices across all project phases.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to mitigate hazards.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for transmission lines.
• Supervise inspections of towers, conductors, and insulators to identify deterioration or vegetation encroachment.
• Coordinate timely repairs and replacements to maintain reliability.

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of transmission line construction and commissioning work.
• Ability to lead projects independently and manage large teams.
• Knowledge of Statutory Norms, Guidelines & Liasoning with Govt./Local Authorities
• Effectively Plans, monitors goals & delivers high standard performance for self & team with agility, discipline. Takes calculated risk.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Site supervision of TL project execution
• Carry out work as per OCP.
