Manager- Statutory Audit- Chennai

You will be responsible for performing testing procedures including substantive and controls testing, vouching, and verification. Additionally, you will provide necessary support to the team manager on assurance engagement formalities. You will handle areas and work allocated, including testing and relevant assurance procedures. Your tasks will include preparing assurance work papers and ensuring compliance with firm policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Moreover, you will manage and supervise junior team members, including article staff. As a single point of contact (SPOC) for the team with the client, you will manage data flow, communication, coordination, and discussions. Furthermore, you will coordinate with internal and external teams, including client personnel, for information and data. Supporting the team on the standardization of processes, documentation, analysis of technical issues, and researching solutions will also be part of your responsibilities. You will assist the team manager in project management, preparing status updates, compiling requirements lists, and participating in meetings with various teams. Additionally, you will contribute to understanding business and industry issues/trends and ensure timely delivery of working papers as per defined timelines. Demonstrating knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, staying up to date with new pronouncements relating to Ind AS, and owning and being accountable for delivering all aspects of the assurance engagement from start to finish are essential. You will also be responsible for front-ending and managing the internal and external quality review process for respective engagements and deliverables. Collaborating with teams, experts, and specialists involved in supporting the delivery of audit engagements is crucial. Moreover, you will be responsible for operational matters, including billing, collections, efficiency, optimal utilization of efforts and resources, monitoring engagement budgets, etc. Proactively taking full responsibility for documentation and guiding/monitoring junior resources of the team is also part of your role.,
