Manager /Senior Manager - Database Administrator(PostgreSQL)

Job Location - Gurgaon

Work Days - 6 days week

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL, REDIS database systems.
• Good to have skills on MongoDb and/or Mysql but NOT Mandatory
• Perform regular database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Monitor and manage database backups, disaster recovery processes, and high availability solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database schema designs.
• Identify and resolve database performance issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and access controls to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
• Perform database capacity planning and provide recommendations for hardware and infrastructure upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and errors in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain documentation, including database standards, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in PostgreSQL, REDIS technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in PostgreSQL,REDIS (Mandatory) . Good to have skills on MongoDB, and SQL Server but not mandatory
• Strong knowledge and experience in database administration, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database query optimization.
• In-depth understanding of PostgreSQL, REDIS Server architectures, features, and administration tools.
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery mechanisms, high availability solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with database security practices and implementing access controls.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems and command-line tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database Services).

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and/or SQL Server administration.
• Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or Redis.
• Knowledge of database automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Understanding of database performance monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., pg_stat_statements, MongoDB Profiler, SQL Server Profiler).
• Experience with database migration, replication, and data synchronization techniques.
