Job Description

Role Overview: As a Manager Scientific Writing at Novartis, you will be responsible for updating, creating, and reviewing scientifically and medically accurate content for various commercial and medico-marketing assets such as newsletters, RTEs, social media posts, and brochures. You will ensure that the content reflects the most recent changes to Important Safety Information (ISI) and other reference documents while adhering to stringent MLR guidelines. This role will require strong collaboration with colleagues across different Novartis sites and maintaining the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and review scientifically accurate and compliant promotional materials for various platforms. - Ensure messaging aligns with brand strategy and approved product positioning. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute content strategy across different platforms. - Identify opportunities to repurpose scientific content for multiple formats and platforms. - Monitor label updates and ensure timely content revision across all promotional assets. - Manage and mentor junior writers, providing guidance on commercial writing and compliance standards. - Develop and maintain label update checklists for consistency across materials. - Partner with scientific writers, creative, and digital teams to ensure efficient content development workflows. Qualification Required: - Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related field. - 7+ years of experience in scientific writing focusing on promotional material and label updates. - Profound understanding of promotional scientific communications, clinical data interpretation, and pharmaceutical regulations. - Familiarity with promotional content review systems and relevant codes. - Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to content planning and campaign design. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment with attention to detail and timelines. - Exposure to global content localization/adaptation. - Understanding of omnichannel marketing and modular content.
