Job Description

As a Strategic Sales and Key Account Management professional, your role will involve developing and managing a portfolio of high-value strategic accounts, such as OEMs, Utilities, and Large Industrials. Your main responsibility will be to drive complex, long-cycle B2B sales processes to ensure high conversion rates for transformer orders. Your key responsibilities will include conducting in-depth market research on transformer technology, competitor offerings, and regional regulatory trends. You will need to develop annual sales plans, targets, and strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the allied product line presence. You will be required to lead all major commercial negotiations, contract finalization, and technical clarifications. Additionally, you will work closely with the engineering team to ensure proposed solutions meet customer specifications and profitability targets. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for managing, training, and mentoring the Engineer Sales team within the Transformers portfolio. Your guidance on technical selling, proposal creation, and market engagement strategies will be crucial for the team's success. In terms of reporting and forecasting, you will need to provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management. Effective utilization of CRM tools to track sales activities and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) will be essential in this position. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus. Experience Required: - Minimum 8 years of B2B technical sales experience in the electrical equipment industry, with at least 5 years preferably selling Power and Distribution Transformers or high-voltage allied products. Proven team management/mentoring experience is required. Required Skills: - Expert knowledge of Power and Distribution Transformer principles, applications, and relevant industry standards (e.g., IS, IEC). - Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills. - Excellent pipeline management and CRM proficiency.
