Manager Quality Assurance & NPD

You will be based at Munnar, Kerala and required to relocate to the same location, if selected. **Role Overview:** As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of quality management and new product development in the food industry. Your role will involve managing financial outcomes, customer services, internal processes, innovation, and learning. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop evaluation metrics to track the cost of poor quality and implement measures to reduce wastage and product recalls. - Control analytical costs within the budget constraints. - Interact with customers to address quality, food safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements. - Monitor customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement mitigation plans. - Improve product quality index and customer satisfaction index by enhancing Right First Time (RFT) approach. - Ensure finished goods meet global statutory and regulatory compliances. - Meet plant key performance indicators (KPIs) such as CCPMP, GMP, Misc. CPC, and process performances. - Establish objectives and KPIs for the quality department, formulate food safety policies, and programs. - Implement and maintain Quality Systems and Food Safety management systems in compliance with standards and regulations. - Establish Total Quality Management system by maintaining quality compliance at various stages. - Support New Product Development (NPD) activities and provide quality and testing requirements. - Handle market and trade complaints effectively by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions. - Renew and certify quality standards like FSSC, 9001, USDFA, Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Kosher, and Halal. - Evaluate vendor quality, conduct audits, and assess vendor capabilities. - Prepare SOPs, flow charts, hazard analysis, and identify critical control points. - Conduct monthly GMP audits and manage pest control processes. - Work with the NPD team for innovative product development. - Generate a competency matrix for workmen and provide training on quality and food safety. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters or bachelor's degree in food technology or food Process Engineering. - 10+ years of relevant experience in Quality Management or new product development. - Experience in Instant Tea Ops, Solubles, Coffee, Tea, or Dairy Operations. - Proficiency in Quality Management Systems, HACCP, ISO, and food safety management systems.
