Manager, Pega systems

As a PEGA Manager specializing in running the business (RTB), you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the support operations for PEGA-based applications at Owens & Minor. With a Fortune 500 company status, Owens & Minor operates across the US and 90 countries globally, aiming to empower customers to advance healthcare. Your responsibility will encompass overseeing PEGA platform administration, incident and problem management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate must possess PEGA CLSA or CSSA certification along with 7+ years of experience, including team management expertise. In this hybrid work mode position, you will be tasked with ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of PEGA applications. Leading a team of support developers/analysts, you will spearhead timely incident resolution, service requests, and problem management. Collaborating closely with technical and functional personnel, you will work towards implementing and supporting solutions while maintaining documentation for support processes and troubleshooting guides. Your role will involve not only managing SLAs and KPIs for support operations but also driving root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures for recurring issues. Compliance with ITIL practices, participation in change management, and release planning activities will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will provide architecture and design guidance to support/project teams and propose comprehensive solutions based on business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a solid technical background in the PEGA platform. Experience with PEGA versions 8.x and Pega Infinity, as well as familiarity with ITIL framework and service management tools, is highly desirable.
