Manager - Payment Services

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing and controlling daily operations and administration of the regulatory reporting team at HSBC. This includes timely processing of all capital account queries and transactions, regulatory filings, RBI liaison, customer and business engagement, and ensuring high efficiency and customer service levels to achieve the strategic and operating objectives of the Bank. You will also be monitoring the performance of external vendors and operating staff, ensuring standardization of processes, regulatory reporting activities as per RBI and other regulators requirements, and implementing an effective Business Continuity plan for the unit. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining internal control standards, implementing the group compliance policy, and being aware of operational risk scenarios associated with your role. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and control daily operations and administration of the regulatory reporting team - Monitor performance of external vendors and operating staff - Ensure standardization of processes and update process notes regularly - Conduct regulatory reporting activities as per RBI and other regulators requirements - Implement an effective Business Continuity plan for the unit - Ensure day-to-day processes are run as per defined procedure notes and policies - Contribute to performance parameters including cost management, key process performance indicators, and customer satisfaction levels - Maintain HSBC internal control standards and implement internal and external audit points - Implement the group compliance policy and be aware of operational risk scenarios Qualifications Required: - 1-3 years of overall Banking exposure with 1 year of specialized experience in managing Capital Account Transactions such as ECB, ODI, FDI, BOLOPO - Skills required for success: FEMA knowledge, people and stakeholders management, strong communication and decision-making ability, thinking and problem-solving skills Please note: HSBC is committed to providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development, flexible working, and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment.
