Manager of Software Engineering

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team, you will guide multiple teams to success by enhancing, designing, and delivering software components of state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will be part of an agile team responsible for executing software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while gaining valuable skills and experience to advance in your role. - Manage data integration and data analysis of disparate systems. - Build extensible data acquisition and integration solutions meeting client requirements. - Implement processes and logic for data extraction, transformation, and distribution across various data stores. - Provide problem-solving expertise and complex data analysis for business intelligence integration designs. - Collaborate with internal product development and cross-functional teams. - Lead teams with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing 5-10 engineers. - Learn new technologies rapidly in a dynamic environment. - Demonstrate strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. - Communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, showcasing excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. - Foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members, prioritizing diverse representation. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience, including coaching and mentoring. - Minimum 6 years of experience in data integration projects using Big Data Technologies, especially in human resources analytics. - Experience in AWS Data Warehousing and database platforms. - Hands-on experience of at least 5 years in Spark and Scala. - Developing streaming applications with at least 2 years of experience in Kafka. - Implementing CICD using Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Yaml, Maven for Cloud deployments. - Designing Java open-source, API, JUnits, Spring Boot applications, and Swagger Setup. - Querying Big Data using tools like Pig, Hive, and Impala. - Integrating data from various file-storage formats such as Parquet, ORC, Avro, Sequence files, etc. - Building scalable, high-performance distributed services and systems with strong technical understanding. - Applying knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Lake concepts. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Experience working at the code level. - Ability to multitask and transition between different types of issues swiftly. - Passion for learning new technologies and driving innovative solutions.,
