As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase in the Employee Platforms team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams and managing daily implementation activities. Your duties will include identifying and escalating issues, ensuring compliance with standards, meeting business requirements, and adhering to tactical best practices. You will be tasked with managing data integration and analysis of disparate systems, building extensible data acquisition and integration solutions, implementing processes to extract, transform, and distribute data across various data stores, and providing problem-solving expertise for complex data analysis. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal product development and cross-functional teams, work with remote teams, and demonstrate strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. To be successful in this role, you should have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, at least 5 years of applied experience, and coaching and mentoring skills. Hands-on experience in data integration projects using Big Data Technologies, familiarity with file-storage formats, expertise in Spark, Scala, Kafka, and CICD tools, as well as knowledge of Java open-source, API, Spring Boot applications, and data querying tools like Pig, Hive, and Impala are essential. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lake concepts, and experience with Oracle/SQL and NoSQL data stores are required. Preferred qualifications include experience in AWS Data Warehousing and database platforms, ability to adapt to new technologies quickly, and the capability to initiate and implement innovative solutions to business challenges.,
