Manager - NPD

Role Overview: Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) is a diversified agri-business Company focused on improving the productivity of Indian farmers through innovative products and services. As a Manager - NPD, your role will involve new product development, value addition to existing products, and ensuring regulatory compliance for domestic and export markets. You will work closely with various departments to launch new products, conduct trials, and optimize costs through ingredient solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new products and value add to existing products - Re-engineer products for cost optimization - Conduct lab and online trials for new products - Coordinate with production, quality, purchase, marketing, and sales departments for new product launches - Draft raw material and finished goods specifications - Revise specifications as required - Develop SOPs and ensure implementation - Conduct shelf life studies for various products - Provide regulatory inputs for compliance with standards and regulations - Stay updated on technical standards, labeling requirements, and additives - Prepare scientific background notes on ingredients and formulations - Review formulations for compliance with regulations - Check and approve all artworks and labels for products - Data mining and preparing science-based notes - Review claim support data for product claims - Comfortable working with non-vegetarian products Qualifications Required: - B Tech with 4 to 5 years of experience - MSc or M Tech with 2 to 4 years of experience - Experience in NPD/R&D of Frozen Foods, QSR, seasonings, breadcrumb manufacturing, or Culinary industry Skills Required: - Team Player - Customer oriented - Cost conscious - Disciplined Note: Godrej Agrovet emphasizes diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and values team members who reflect the diversity of their businesses and communities.
