Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Role & responsibilities

1. Process planning & control Assembly Testing, Packing of Engine Manufacturing

2. Capacity planning & Expansion & budgeting, layout approval, Scope of supply [SOS], Request for quotation [RFQ], Operation Picture Sheet [OPS], Machine selection, procurement, as per capacity & process requirement, expense budgets, capital forecasts and expenditures

3. Equipment ordering with detail Technical & commercial negotiation with vendor for Revenue & capital items, PO creation, follow-up as per time plan,

4. Pre dispatch machine inspection at supplier end. Checking m/c as per test charts & conducts trial as per SOS, on-time delivery,

5. Assessment, installation & commissioning of new equipment/ assembly line / Plant, Process, Store layout design, changes with excellent process capabilities,

6. Improve productivity, to reduce operator fatigue, reduce takt time, improve tool life & quality from tool room & external suppliers, Establishes standards of Toolings, Process, documentations,

7. Design, developing, modification & timely availability of fixture, tools & Gauges,

8. Support for Smooth manufacturing operation for Transmission & Engine assembly with product design & process requirements, Process Digitalization,

9. To update, develop & release Process flow chart [PFC], Process failure mode effective analysis [PFMEA], and Control Plan (CP), Standard operation sheet (SOP),

10. Basic knowledge of Kaizen, PQCDSM, Lean manufacturing & Just in time [JIT], OHSE (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), First Time Right, World class manufacturing,

11. De-Skilling of Critical Processes by providing trainings, automation, Digital Displays, tools & gauges,

12. Improve Material Handling Flow in ATP, Motion Study.

13. Hand on Experience of ISO & IATF, OHAS documentations & audits

Preferred candidate profile

• Possess experience in the field of Engine Assembly Process with planning new assembly line, machines, fixture, tooling, and gauges with Automation.
• Knowledge in the field of Engine Testing Process, Data Acquisitions.
• Should have exposure in setting up Green field Project / Brownfield Project.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, World class manufacturing, new product developments with Digital & Electronic systems
• Knowledge of Benchmarking & Process innovation.
• Should have done Cost Reduction / Saving projects.
• Experience in doing APQP & PPAP certification for New & exiting Product.
• Should have hands on Experience in Process Flow Chart, Control Plan, SOP, PFMEA, DAP, etc.
• Should have handled Capital procurement projects for capacity enhancement & improvements.
• Good analytical and Equipment & Process problem solving skills having CFT approach
• Should be able to deliver training to plant operators/engineers.
• Knowledge of SAP is must.
